Production Position Openings
Venture Products, Inc. (VENTRAC) is accepting applications for full-time positions on 2nd shift for FABRICATION, WELDING, ASSEMBLY and PAINTING departments, as well as 1st shift ASSEMBLY department.

Ideal candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast pace, highly flexible, team environment. Excellent attendance record is a must.

Welding applicants must have 2+ yrs welding experience in MIG/pulse. Operators will be trained to program, set up and run robots.

Product Development Engineer

DATE: June 9, 2016
JOB: Product Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer works as part of a team to engineer and design new products and/or components. May include mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Assist with product start-ups. May include working on the assembly line during start-up, establishing QC criteria, helping with assembly procedures, etc.
  • Evaluate customer, product, and project requirements and propose designs, concepts or methods to achieve the requirements.
  • Design and develop methods, components, systems, or products to achieve VPI requirements
  • Develop appropriate test specifications and/or test methods. Conduct or direct relevant testing
  • Work with engineering product development team. Includes preparing drawings for manufacturing
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues for components and products.
  • Assist with engineering publications and communication. Includes communicating relevant information to other VPI personnel and departments
  • Interface with other departments to accomplish product, project, and company goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of machines and power & hand tools (including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance)
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills (Microsoft Office, Internet)
  • Experience with 3D modeling systems (preferably Solid Edge)
  • Successfully demonstrated strong verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills professional, courteous, friendly and helpful
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work on multiple projects
  • Strong process and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent project and time management skills
  • 5+ years of product development experience.
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering (ME or ME Technology, preferred) or relevant design experience
  • Ability to bend, squat, walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
  • Safety conscious (for the working environment and product design)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Product development experience in the turf equipment or agricultural machinery industries
  • Experience with AutoCad
  • Successfully demonstrated strong written communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of metal working and welding
  • Working knowledge of mechanical drives, hydraulics, and 12volt electrical systems.

Production Printing/office Support

JOB: Production Printing/office Support

Summary:
Production of in-house publication items to be utilized in production and other departments. This includes a variety of printing/engraving machines, and hand-assembling documents. and general clerical tasks. Approx. 16 hours per week.


Responsibilities:
  • Position Responsibilities:
  • Print, Bind, Engrave materials to achieve a quality end product.
  • o Examples: Product Owners manuals, crate tags, serial plates, Sales booklets, etc.
  • o Operate various printing/publishing related machines.
  • o Perform basic maintenance for publication related equipment.
  • Use computer (e.g. Syspro, Ventrac Network)
  • o Assess & fulfill demand for production documents.
  • o Maintain various types of build logs & component databases.
  • Self-motivated to complete jobs within allocated times & hit deadlines.
  • o Must be flexible with scheduling & prioritizing to accommodate last minute task changes.
  • Conduct quality control checks of products.
  • o Rework, repair, or replace damaged components of products as needed.

Sales Representative

The Regional Territory Sales Manager is responsible for building and developing a strong distributor and dealership network that increases the sales and distribution of the Ventrac product line. This position will support strategic goals of the company and will build and maintain strong relationships with the Ventrac distributors/dealerships/customers. This job involves a relationship based approach with current dealers and establishing new dealer as well as working with partner turf houses which will allow us to create a positive and informative experience by exceeding expectations and demonstrating outstanding product knowledge, along with a world class customer service experience with every interaction for each customer lead


Responsibilities:
  • Develop a distributors/dealership network in the MN,WI,IL,IA,MO, ND, SD areas at the request and needs of Venture Products Inc.
  • Build healthy and productive communication within and outside of Venture Products
  • Monitor dealers success in each market and find ways to strategically increase market share yearly.
  • Prospect for successful dealers in needed markets
  • Actively solve problems and issues within assigned territory
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products.
  • Determine the effectiveness of dealers sales force and improve skills as necessary.
  • Plan and Coordinate:
  • o Product /Demo training
  • o Programs Implementation
  • o Marketing-Network
  • Developing strategies/plans of actions for Ventrac products to be sold within each dealership and hold the distributors/dealership accountable to those plans and outcomes
  • Attending and supporting distributors/dealerships activities such as tradeshows, open-houses etc.
  • Confer with potential customers regarding purchasing requirements per contracts
  • Be field expert in territory regarding marketing and product needs, yearly sales programs, dealer development programs, overall sales strategy and other areas that can improve Venture Products Inc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated long term customer relationship building
  • Must enjoy building and nurturing long term business relationships.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Overall travel is expected to be approximately 50% annually; travel will be spend overnights and some weekends away from home
  • Must be willing and capable to trailer, load, unload and demonstrate equipment and have insurable driving record
  • Excellent grammar, voice and diction abilities
  • Successfully demonstrated - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including phone communication skills
