Connecting To Customers Around the World
Since 1999, Ventrac has explored and grown in the world of exports. Expanding worldwide to locations in Europe, Asia, Canada, Africa, South America and the UK, Ventrac has proven that exports can be an important and stable part of business. With tools available through the Small Business Administration, Ventrac is able to better understand how to choose the strongest candidates to partner with abroad.
Export Video Contest
Ventrac recently entered a video contest sponsored by the SBA and Visa. Video entries are to inform other small businesses of the advantages of exporting and to highlight their personal success stories. The entries are also to increase awareness of the government assistance available from the SBA and to explain how exports have successfully grown or maintained a healthy business.
Our video entry features Dallas Steiner, President and CEO of Ventrac, and describes how Ventrac’s export market has helped create a secure and profitable company. Strong exports helped Ventrac weather the recession and the world of international sales continues to grow today.
Sweden’s 1000th Tractor Sold
Ventrac’s export division continues to expand with many success stories along the way. One distributor across the seas , LAPAB of Sweden, has done a phenomenal job with Ventrac. It is exciting to see how they have grown with Ventrac. LAPAB specializes in the Ventrac 3000 series tractors and distribute quite a few. Just how many? Well…in April, 2011, LAPAB helped deliver the 1000th tractor to a very happy and satisfied customer. Anders Pettersson and Peter Karlsson from LAPAB, along with Parkmaskiner (one of LAPAB’s dealers) made the delivery to FaBo Falkenbergs Bostader. This new unit is one of ten Ventrac machines this customer owns!
To be a professional athlete, it takes hard work and dedication. It takes toughness and durability to reach peak performance. Preparation requires research and study to stay on top of the game. Former New York Giants Super Bowl XXV Quarterback, Jeff Hostetler, knows all about what it takes. We recently spoke with Jeff at his home, where he talked with us about his professional career and how he maintains his home and property with a Ventrac tractor.
Last week, two employees from Ventrac, Dan Swartz and Roscoe Lehman traveled to Huntsville, Alabama for the Siemens Solid Edge ST4 Global Launch Event. The Ventrac Engineering Department currently uses the Solid Edge ST3 CAD system to design equipment, such as the MJ840 Contour Mowing Deck. Solid Edge hosted the event to introduce new users, as well as current users, to the newest ST4 version of the software. Packed with tips and ideas, technical training and opportunities to interact with Solid Edge users from around the world, the event helped Dan and Roscoe get a better idea of what the ST4 version can do for Ventrac. We love to hear from our customers! And we love to see Ventrac popping up in some of the most unusual places across the country. In Duluth, Minnesota, the Aerostich company mailed out their annual holiday supplement and what can you find on the front cover? A happy customer with his Ventrac! Just today, we got a great email from this customer who wanted to share his story with us.
Fall is a colorful time of year, but collecting those vibrant leaves isn’t always a pretty job once they hit the ground! It can be a dreaded job! Ventrac equipment helped take hours out of the backbreaking, labor-some task of leaf collection at a near-by camp this past weekend. Volunteers were on hand with two Ventrac tractors to help with the huge job of leaf clean up at Camp Luz, a Christian camp, near Orrville, Ohio. “Leaf collection for us has always been a really BIG job,” says Andrew Michaels, Program Director for Camp Luz. “In the past it has taken sometimes up to a month to get the leaves collected.”
The job was accomplished in just ONE day as two Ventracs, equipped with vacuum collection systems, buzzed around making quick work out of something that normally took weeks of hand raking and bagging. Both tractors used the vacuum collection systems to round up the leaves but also switched to the blower attachment to gather any stray debris and leaves in tight areas amongst the trees.
Ventrac Gives Back to the Community at Ida Sue School/Nick Amster Workshop and the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio.
Wayne County, Ohio is an amazing community where people come together to help support those in need. At Ventrac, in Orrville, giving back to the community has always been an important part of their company beliefs. So, the management team set plans in motion for a service project to assist the Ida Sue School/Nick Amster Workshop and the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio organizations in Wooster with some needed outdoor maintenance projects and improvements.
We are proud to announce that Zimmer Tractor, Inc. of Monroe, Ohio has recently added Ventrac tractors and attachments to their current product line. Covering the Cincinnati-Tri-State area, Zimmer provides product to a wide range of industries, including homeowners, turf and commercial industries as well as a large portion of customers in the agricultural industry. Ventrac will be available at the Monroe, Ohio showroom only, but Zimmer Tractor showrooms can also be found in Aurora and Brookville, Indiana.
“We thought Ventrac would be a good fit for our customers,” says Jason Beckner, Vice President. Besides offering customers an Ohio manufactured product, Zimmer added the Ventrac line because it had a design, form and function that was different than some of their current lines of compact tractors. Ventrac’s all wheel drive and tight turning radius design will allow it to go where other tractors can not and will be sold to end-users who require a tractor that does much more than mow grass. With its many unique features, the new product will bring a heightened dimension to the Zimmer lineup. Along with Ventrac, the dealership carries a wide range of quality equipment including Kubota, New Holland, Scag, Wright, Landpride, Woods and Bush Hog.
The business owes its success to the core beliefs that customer satisfaction comes first and with Zimmer’s experienced staff and top notch facilities, customers get the specialty attention they need – before, during and after the sale. “Every employee is customer-centered,” adds Beckner. “We have the staff and the facilities to take care of the customer the way they need to be taken care of.”
Throughout the year, customers can take advantage of seasonal specials offered by Zimmer on select equipment and accessories. A full service parts department with skilled technicians are always on hand to keep equipment running at its peak performance.

What happens when seven Ventrac tractors and a group of Ventrac salesmen are put together? It becomes an exciting and interesting time of safety and educational training, testing, demos and just plain hands-on fun with Ventrac tractors and attachments. The salespersons gathered together for their continuous training days to learn as much as possible how Ventrac tractors perform. The salesmen spent their training days running the tractors through the paces and tested them to limits that wouldn’t normally be done on a day to day basis. The information and experience gained will serve as a valuable tool to assist customers with finding the right piece of equipment that will meet their individual needs.
