Production Position Openings
Venture Products, Inc. (VENTRAC) is accepting applications for full-time positions on 1st shift in the ASSEMBLY and PAINT departments as well as 2nd shift in the FABRICATION and WELDING departments.

Ideal candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast pace, highly flexible, team environment. Excellent attendance record is a must.

Welding applicants must have 2+ yrs welding experience in MIG/pulse. Operators will be trained to program, set up and run robots.

Weld Robot Programmer - Offline

DATE: July 25, 2018
JOB: Weld Robot Programmer - Offline

The weld robot programmer learns, tests, & refines the operation of the VPI welding robots – both existing & new. Over the next few months, this person’s focus will be on programming existing hand welding jobs to run on the robot. Also programming new products under development as they are released for prototype or production.

A significant amount of time will be dedicated to learning the equipment & related software packages (e.g. OTC FD-ST Offline Programming,VPI network interface software, Solid Edge, etc), developing & optimizing welding conditions, and improving the workflow of weldments & jobs through the robot work centers. This is a 1st shift position.


Responsibilities:
  • Learn & master both the software & robot operation & maintenance.
  • Develop & document operational parameters & setups for the equipment for a wide range of materials & workflow patterns.
  • Implement & continuously improve processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve objectives.
  • Participate in both On- & Off-site training events.
  • Troubleshoot errors - work with in- & external tech support as necessary.
  • Document & address error codes, malfunctions, etc as relevant.
  • Train production staffing in the operation of welding robot equipment.
  • May include other welding related duties as relevant.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Safety conscious (for both people & the equipment)
  • Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints and can meet deadlines.
  • Strong process, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments.
  • Must be able to read and understand established procedures and detailed work instructions. (including
  • weld drawings & symbols)
  • Ability to use measuring instruments. (Digital Calipers, Micrometer, etc.)
  • Experience in programming & operating CNC machine equipment.
  • Experienced computer user & quick learner of software.
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead hoist in a safe and orderly manner
  • Basic CAD skills
  • Must have good color-discernment (i.e. have little or no color-blindness)
  • Must have valid drivers license with good driving record (i.e. be insurable).
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Intern

Video Editor Intern
Summary:
The primary role of this temporary internship position is to assist in shooting and editing videos for Venture Products, Inc. At times this will require organizing video shoots as well developing video scripts. Candidates must be able to arrange video in a logical way that will convey important messages to the target audience. This will require working with a team to generate content ideas at the beginning of a project, and requesting and implementing feedback towards the end of a project. Candidates must possess a working knowledge of sound production, lighting, and manual camera controls. While video shooting and editing will be the primary role of this position, this position may be asked to assist with other marketing functions such as photography, photo editing, and social media content generation.


Responsibilities:
  • Shoot video using a variety of camera tools including dedicated cameras with manual controls
  • Manage professional lighting for shoots
  • Use audio recording through external lavaliere and/or shotgun microphones
  • Edit video using Adobe Premiere Pro on a PC platform
  • Animate things such as titles in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
  • Assist with Social Media
  • Assist with website content generation

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in video production
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, accept feedback and make necessary changes
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet)
  • Strong interpersonal skills professional, courteous, friendly and helpful
  • Strong process, problem solving and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Painter

This position involves working as a team to hang metal product, apply an even coat of power coating paint to each piece without flaws, inspect and pack parts at the conclusion of the process.


Responsibilities:
  • Applicants must have mechanical ability to make minor repairs, adjust equipment, clean out paint booth and paint equipment, etc.
  • Candidates must also be able to collaborate effectively with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be flexible with work schedule and overtime hours
  • The ability to pass drug and criminal background screenings
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead hoist in a safe and orderly manner

Receiving

JOB: Receiving

This position works closely with the Purchasing Department and is responsible for receiving all shipments, checking for accuracy and condition of deliveries. In addition, this position is in charge of stock, line and bin management and keeping the area in an organized and clean condition.


Responsibilities:
  • o Unload Trucks/UPS
  • o Checking in all packages
  • Works closely with other department/line leaders in production to ensure they have the right parts at the right time.
  • Managing multiple priorities
  • o Non-palletized delivers are unloaded into proper cart
  • o Verify package/pallets count to packing slip and check for condition
  • o Put away components in proper location
  • Stock Management
  • o Maintain neat and organized warehouse
  • o Keep floors swept, garbage and card board containers empty and isles clear
  • o Maintain a working and growing knowledge of VPIs part number system
  • o Maintain a working knowledge of stocked items
  • o Maintain a working knowledge of SYSPRO Impact as it pertains to inventory
  • o Maintain a working knowledge of all KANBAN item and the rules
