Ideal candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast pace, highly flexible, team environment. Excellent attendance record is a must.
Welding applicants must have 2+ yrs welding experience in MIG/pulse. Operators will be trained to program, set up and run robots.

Weld Assistant
DATE: January 29, 2021
JOB: Weld Assistant
Perform cleaning operations (scratch, scale & weld spatter removal, etc.) on parts post-weld. This position will work closely with a trained welder to develop the skills necessary to become a production welder. This position will begin on 1st shift as a weld assistant and then is expected to move to 3rd shift to become a robot welder once trained. Training times will vary.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, tend grinding process using related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces of welded parts, sharp edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal
Lift and position workpieces, manually or with hoists, and secure them tables for the cleaning process.
Operate tools safely wearing all necessary personal protection equipment
Identifying bad welds and fixing the welds
Ability to learn weld techniques and robot operation
To participate in weld training program as set up for Weld Assistants
Responsible for the quality of the metal finish before it is received in Paint
Making sure the grinder is working properly/safely
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma, GED or relevant experience
Maintain high safety standards and be able to work in a fast paced environment
Detail oriented
Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints and is able to effectively prioritize tasks when multiple due dates exist
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. regularly and bend, squat, walk or stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical Assembler

This position requires a person to pay high attention to detail and under limited supervision, efficiently perform the final assembly of Ventrac products by following established assembly procedures and detailed work instructions. It involves collaborating with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Assemble components to meet quality standards using detailed work instructions
Produce quality product in a team environment to meet department goals and objectives
Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts
Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
Conduct quality control checks: inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to required specifications
Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies
Ability to operate overhead hoist in a safe and orderly manner
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated dependability and good attendance
Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent school with relevant work experience
Minimum 1-3 years of applicable work experience
Safety conscious individual
Must be able to read and understand established assembly procedures and detailed work instructions
Possess strong communication skills
Maintain high safety standards while working in a fast paced environment

Welding Robot Operator
DATE: February 10, 2021
JOB: Welding Robot Operator
3rd shift position. This member of the welding team will be primarily responsible for operating both robotic and hand welders. These welders are wire-fed MIG / Pulse welders. Candidates will need the mechanical ability and spatial recognition skills to product weldments with the correct precision geometry. The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Produce quality product in a team environment to meet department goals and objectives
Operate a welding robot and/or perform hand welding to produce accurate weldments/assemblies
Set up jobs by selecting appropriate jigs, fixtures, weld patterns, components, programs, tooling, etc. and tuning the welder/robot for optimum performance
Use hand tools/machines/hoists, etc. to assemble parts for welding
Load, position, & weld the raw materials (&/or machined parts) correctly in fixtures.
Operate welding equipment and monitor gauges/appearance of the weld stitches while tuning things to optimize the welding process for quality and efficiency
Conduct quality checks by inspecting, operating and testing your finished products/processes to specifications
Make any needed adjustments or repairs immediately
Perform cleaning operations (scale & BB removal, etc.) on parts post-weld
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1-3 years of welding training / experience
Must be able to read, understand and follow established schematics, drawings, and other work instructions
Have basic working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Maintain high safety standards and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of robotics and programming
Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints
