Production Position Openings
Venture Products, Inc. (VENTRAC) is accepting applications for full-time positions on 1st shift in the ASSEMBLY and PAINT departments as well as 2nd shift in the FABRICATION and WELDING departments.

Ideal candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast pace, highly flexible, team environment. Excellent attendance record is a must.

Welding applicants must have 2+ yrs welding experience in MIG/pulse. Operators will be trained to program, set up and run robots.

Purchasing Agent

DATE: July 29, 2019
JOB: Purchasing Agent

This position is responsible for the preparation and execution of procurement contracts for basic products and services in support of the operational needs of Venture Products Inc. They will effectively analyze, plan, procure and communicate for material and/or service requirements for such needs while achieving targeted inventory levels. They will work with the Supplier Quality function to insure consistency of product, and will follow the strategic direction of Venture Products Inc.

  • Analyze MRP/ERP system requirements, forecasting requirements and procurement schedules.
  • Create and initiative strategic initiatives that results in products being at VPI when needed with no manufacturing downtime.
  • Prepare electronic solicitations, review proposals, issue purchase orders.
  • Issue blanket agreements and service agreement orders.
  • Procure build-to-print components, assemblies and/or services.
  • Negotiate, prioritize and review supplier delivery schedules to insure timely delivery to Production schedule.
  • Conduct informal negotiations.
  • Support integrated product teams as required.
  • Respond positively and react promptly to constantly changing duties and priorities due to production schedule changes, quality control or engineering requests.
  • Source and select suppliers for specific components.
  • Monitor and communicate appropriate metrics such as supplier on-time delivery, inventory turns, and inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in improvement plans and inventory reduction initiatives
  • Assist in receiving and distribution of incoming stock

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques and 1yr+ experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent negotiation skills

Human Resource Assistant

JOB: Human Resource Assistant

Supports Human Resource processes in the onboarding new employees, employee profile maintenance, general maintenance and organization of accurate HR records and reports, confidentiality of information, coordinating and communicating interview protocol with Managers, professional and accurate communications and other functions as needed.

  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments regarding the onboarding process including providing all necessary documents required by law.
  • Provides payroll and benefits information to the new employees and the Accounting Dept in a timely manner.
  • Submits employee data into our HR system.
  • Provides administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone (as a backup when needed), collaborative decision making, relaying messages etc.

Territory Sales Manager

JOB: Territory Sales Manager

The South East Territory (LA, MS, AL, TN, GA, FL, portions of AR) Manager is responsible for building and developing a dealership network that expands the distribution network for the Ventrac product line. This position will support strategic goals of the company and will build and maintain strong relationships with the Ventrac dealerships/customers. This job involves a relationship based approach that allows us to create a positive and informative experience by exceeding expectations and demonstrating outstanding product knowledge, along with a world class customer service experience with every interaction for each customer lead contact.

  • Actively solve problems and issues within assigned territory
  • Prospect for successful dealers in needed markets
  • Build healthy and productive communication within and outside of Venture Products
  • Monitor dealers success in each market and increase market share yearly.
  • Monitor dealer sales to determine effectiveness of dealers sales force
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Plan and Coordinate training such as: Product /Demo training, Programs Implementation, Marketing-Network
  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products
  • Attending and supporting dealerships activities such as tradeshows, open-houses etc.
  • Confer with potential customers regarding purchasing requirements per contracts
  • Be field expert in territory regarding marketing and product needs, yearly sales programs, dealer development programs, overall sales strategy and other areas that can improve Venture Products Inc.
  • Developing strategies/plans of actions for Ventrac products to be sold within each dealership and hold the dealership accountable to those plans and outcomes
  • Develop a distributors/dealership network in the LA, MS, AL, TN, GA, FL, portions of AR areas at the request and needs of Venture Products Inc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Sales experience in the turf or dealership market
  • Demonstrated long term customer relationship
  • Must enjoy building and nurturing long term business relationships.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude
  • Overall travel is expected to be approximately 75% annually; travel will require overnights and some weekends away from home
  • Must be willing and capable to trailer, load, unload and demonstrate equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills professional, courteous, friendly and helpful
  • Excellent grammar, voice and diction abilities

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible to process and track incoming orders, inquiries, and customer leads. Responsibilities include ensuring that communication, lead tracking and follow up are done in a timely manner and to create a positive experience with potential and current customers; To process new dealer orders and inquiries to assist in achieving sales goals and objectives.

  • This job involves a relationship based approach to create positive and informative experiences for every interaction. It is essential that the Inside Sales Rep. enjoys interacting with others over the phone and be comfortable building rapport quickly.

Production Supply

JOB: Production Supply

This position works closely with Receiving, Paint and Purchasing Departments and is responsible for ensuring both made-in and purchased components are delivered to the correct recipients. This person will replenish component stock for continuous flow assembly lines while maintaining the receiving/production supply area in an organized and clean condition. This person will set up assembly lines for the Assembly Department.

  • Works closely with other department/line leaders in production to ensure they have the right parts at the right time
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts
  • Maintain accurate inventory
  • Maintain neat and organized warehouse
  • Maintain a working and growing knowledge of VPIs part number system
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all KANBAN items and the rules
  • Maintain a working knowledge of SYSPRO Impact as it pertains to inventory
  • Put away components (Made-in/purchased parts) in proper location on assembly lines
  • Set up and restock assembly lines
  • Maintain a working knowledge of stocked items
  • Managing multiple priorities
  • Other duties as assigned
