Production Position Openings
Venture Products, Inc. (VENTRAC) is accepting applications for full-time positions on 2nd shift for FABRICATION, WELDING, ASSEMBLY and PAINTING departments, as well as 1st shift ASSEMBLY department.

Welding applicants must have 2+ yrs welding experience in MIG/pulse. Operators will be trained to program, set up and run robots.

Maintenance Technician

JOB: Maintenance Technician

Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of semi-skilled maintenance, inspection, service, and repair activities to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of VPI. This person will assist in ensuring timely and accurate service, including preventative and predictive maintenance, repair services, and occasional facility projects.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Work in a collaborative team environment on various maintenance, vehicle service, and manufacturing & facility projects to help meet the demands of our growing company.

2. Maintenance: manufacturing, facility and vehicle equipment.
• Perform regular and preventive maintenance procedures for most production and support equipment. This could include (but is not limited to) forklifts, cars, trucks, trailers, air compressors, power tools, fabrication, and welding equipment.
• Documentation of all work completed to assure that equipment and maintenance meets established standards (e.g. VPI, OSHA, USDOT, etc. as relevant).
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical failures and problems, collect data, recommend corrective action and carry out necessary repairs in a timely manner to restore equipment to operation as required
• Vehicles: perform minor service and repair tasks, schedule outsourced service work and maintain all related records.

3. Equipment: Installation and start up.
• Ability and understanding to perform small equipment installations with minimal supervision.

4. Facility: Assist with infrastructure installations, improvements, changes, etc.
• Ability and understanding to assist with minor and major facility additions, restructures and improvements.

5. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with Customers, Co-workers and management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/equivalent or applicable experience
• Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and meet approval from VPI’s insurance carrier to operate VPI fleet vehicles.
• Good written and oral listening/communication skills
• Self-motivated individual who understands the importance of time constraints & schedules. Must occasionally be available to work evenings and weekends when required.
• Experience in preventative and repair maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical failures.
• Strong ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical and operational information.
• Able to read, understand and interpret prints, drawings and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Email, etc.
• Fabrication & Welding skills with a working knowledge equipment such as Welder, Drill, Lathe, Shear, Press Break, etc.
• Assembly skills with a good knowledge of using general hand tools.
• Must be able to work off ladders, scissors lifts, etc, at ceiling and roof heights and operate forklifts in a safe and productive manner.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 80 lbs and have the ability to stand, squat and walk for long periods of time.
• Have a basic understanding of industrial electrical systems/codes and perform small scale installs and repairs, 110-480 volt, 1 & 3 phase, as well as 12 volt systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years working in a preventative and repair maintenance program in an industrial or mechanical environment.
• Maintenance training certificates.

Welding Manager

JOB: Welding Manager

This Management position is responsible for all facets of production within the Weld department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: timely scheduling of workflow through the department, maintaining efficient processes, the quality of work produced, employee management, safety of work environment, and maintenance of robotic & other production equipment.

Major Responsibilities:
Meet or surpass company goals & objectives through effective management of PERSONNEL, EQUIPMENT, PROCESSES, MATERIALS, ETC.
o Ensure safe, quality production on a consistent basis, and create an environment of continuous improvement to help meet the
increasing expectations of our customers as it relates to quality / delivery / cost.
o Ensuring work centers are running as required to meet daily targets.

Programming having accurate processes to provide programs to the robots.
Maintain accurate material inventories (volume/kanban items).
Correcting & ordering as required.

o Coordinating work schedules & activities for the department.

Maintain open lines of communication with other departments to better optimize VPI operations, such as changing course to expedite parts for Engineering, Parts Dept, etc.
o Ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on equipment in a predictable & timely manner.
o Ordering consumables & maintaining key replacement parts on the shelf.
o Ensuring proper operation of the work centers.
o Growing & refining processes, such as speeds, shifts & employee work schedules, raw material supply processes, etc to meet ever-changing company needs.
o Identification & troubleshooting of process discrepancies.
Resolving (or assisting with the resolution) to these types of problems.
Monitor & resolve work order discrepancies in our production computer systems in order to maintain accuracy.
o Maintaining Q.C. & regulatory documentation of system operation
o Monitor & order materials/consumables (bought-out machined parts, robot parts, etc).
ETC taking ownership of additional and/or affiliated processes as relevant to VPI growth & development.

Preferred Qualification
Some College Preferred or certifications in Lean, Weld , Leadership etc
3 yrs of Manufacturing Management experience in Welding
5 yrs of Manufacturing Management experience supervising at least 10 employees

Administrative Assistant

This position will support strategic goals of the company and will build and maintain strong relationships with the Ventrac dealerships/customers. Senior Project Engineer

  • Position Responsibilities:
