Engineer Governmental Regulation

DATE: January 23, 2017
JOB: Engineer Governmental Regulation

This position will research and provide technical expertise to VPI product design teams for the development of new products or the compliance of current products with a focus on the application of Governmental regulations, standards, and directives. Examples may include U.S. EPA, ANSI, OSHA, CE, ISO, or other international regulations specific to where VPI products may be sold. This position will assist with coordinating the compliance testing at VPI and will review, analyze and document testing results to determine areas of design improvement or causes of failures, and work with product development teams to develop appropriate solutions required to achieve product compliance.


Responsibilities:
  • Research of governmental regulations, directives, and standards (in existing markets and potential) and determination of relevancy for Ventrac equipment
  • Evaluation and application of relevant standards to Ventrac equipment
  • Provide technical guidance to Engineering for product requirements and necessary product revisions.
  • Provide technical guidance to Sales & Marketing for potential markets
  • Perform or oversee testing of equipment per regulations, standard, or directive
  • Documentation of test results and management of compliance technical files
  • Apply for appropriate certifications. (i.e. EPA emissions compliance)
  • Monitoring of production equipment to assure ongoing compliance.
  • Represent Venture Products at select industry meetings for standards and compliance

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Engineering or technical degree with regulatory experience.

Summary: The Regional Sales Director is responsible to grow sales and relationships personally and through the members of the sales team. They are expected to grow each Territory Sales Manager (TSM) on their team professionally through coaching, training, empowerment, encouragement and holding them accountable to the expectations that Venture Products Inc. has for our sales team. This position will support strategic goals of the company and will build and maintain strong relationships with the Ventrac dealerships, and the end user. Provide extraordinarily positive leadership within the Sales Department to build an enthusiastic, cohesive, empowered and dynamic sales team that increases market share and meets or exceeds sales goals.
Strengthen the VPI culture as a communication conduit championing information from VPI Leadership to and TSMs and equally important from TSMs to VPI Leadership. Assuring we are all working together without barriers to achieve a cohesive message.
Develops sales campaigns that support the sales goals of the company.
Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales goals of the company.
Leads the effort in defining sales territories, assignment of territories, sales goals, sales forecasts, and define effective systems for VPI sales processes.

Manages all TSMs in assigned region.

Design Engineer

Position Summary: The Design Engineer works as part of a team to engineer and design new products and/or components. May include mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.

Position Responsibilities:
• Design and develop methods, components, systems, or products to achieve VPI requirements
• Develop appropriate test specifications and/or test methods. Conduct or direct relevant testing
• Work with engineering product development team. Includes preparing drawings for manufacturing
• Analyze and resolve technical issues for components and products.
• Assist with product start-ups. May include working on the assembly line during start-up, establishing QC criteria, helping with assembly procedures, etc.
• Assist with engineering publications and communication. Includes communicating relevant information to other VPI personnel and departments
• Interface with other departments to accomplish product, project, and company goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering (ME or ME Technology, preferred) or relevant design experience
