Weld Robot Programmer - Offline

The weld robot programmer learns, tests, & refines the operation of the VPI welding robots – both existing & new. Over the next few months, this person’s focus will be on programming existing hand welding jobs to run on the robot. Also programming new products under development as they are released for prototype or production.

A significant amount of time will be dedicated to learning the equipment & related software packages (e.g. OTC FD-ST Offline Programming,VPI network interface software, Solid Edge, etc), developing & optimizing welding conditions, and improving the workflow of weldments & jobs through the robot work centers. This is a 1st shift position.


Responsibilities:
  • Learn & master both the software & robot operation & maintenance.
  • Develop & document operational parameters & setups for the equipment for a wide range of materials & workflow patterns.
  • Implement & continuously improve processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve objectives.
  • Participate in both On- & Off-site training events.

Technical Instructor / Field Service Specialist

The primary role of this position will be to develop in-depth technical training curriculum for VPI equipment and to train and instruct Ventrac dealers and international distributors in this curriculum. It will also include providing technical customer service, troubleshooting help and warranty support to customers and dealer service technicians via phone, email, and in person. Travel time required may be up to 30%.


Responsibilities:
  • Dealer Technician Training- (In-house, Regional and International)
  • Develop in-depth technical training curriculum for power units, attachments and accessories
  • Train dealer technicians through live service schools (20-40 people)
  • o Training material may include PowerPoint, video, hands-on, and written instruction
  • o Incorporate the use of training props, cutaways and live troubleshooting to enhance learning
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for overseas distributors (often requires the use of an interpreter)
  • Pursue alternate avenues for training new dealers (E-learning, video, and written publication)
  • New Dealer Setup Training- (Both Domestic and International)
  • Develop new dealer product, application, and technical training curriculum (including a training manual)
  • Conduct product and application training for dealer staff (may be service, setup and sales staff)

  • 5+ years experience training technicians on how to repair and service Ag, Auto or Commercial Turf equipment
  • 5+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial turf equipment including small gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic system and 12 volt electrical systems.
  • 2+ years of certified training in Ag/Diesel or Sports/Commercial Turf equipment repair
  • Prior experience working in Technical Customer Service
  • Have a current Commercial Driver License (CDLS)
  • Previous work experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing Ventrac equipment

Fabricator/press Brake Operator

JOB: Fabricator/press Brake Operator

This member of the fabrication team will primarily be responsible for operating a press brake, along with other work centers within the department. 2nd shift


Responsibilities:
  • The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives, & also adjust & clean their equipment in order to produce consistent & correct parts.
  • Candidates will need the mechanical ability & spatial recognition skills to produce complex shapes.
  • This position requires the ability to process job orders with high precision and accuracy, while working in a fast paced environment.
  • Candidates must possess a positive attitude and maintain high safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to interact and understand electronic time keeping
  • The ability to pass drug and criminal background screenings
  • Must be flexible with various work centers and job duties
  • Must be flexible with work schedule and overtime hours
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE ( Personal Protection Equipment )
  • -Protective outer garments (gloves, boots, earplugs, glasses etc.)
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead hoist in a safe and orderly manner
  • Bending, squatting, walking or standing for long periods of time may occur
  • Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints, and is able to effectively prioritize tasks when multiple due dates exist.
  • Ability to operate CNC machine controls and operate fluently in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments. (Protractor, Tape Measure, Digital Calipers, Micrometer)
  • Must be able to read and understand established procedures and detailed work instructions, including CAD drawings.
  • Working knowledge of metal working and machining
  • Safety conscious individual
  • Minimum 1-3 years of applicable work experience
  • Minimum high school diploma

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+yrs of fabrication experience, Press Brake, CNC and Saw operation
  • 1+ yrs of Manufacturing leadership experience
