JOB: Material Handler

To organize, maintain and restock the Fabrication Parts Bins. 2nd Shift


Responsibilities:
  • Changing out bins and parts at the Press Brakes
  • Keeping bins organized in the bin racks
  • Communicate and coordinate with Press Brake operators to supply the right parts for the days production
  • Putting bins into their proper location throughout the day
  • Unload steel off trucks throughout the day
  • Check parts sheet and deliver completed parts bins to weld
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead hoist in a safe and orderly manner
  • Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent school with relevant work experience
  • Must be able to read and understand established procedures and detailed work instructions (Blueprints)
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. regularly and bend, squat, walk or stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 Year + Material Handling experience

Mechanical Assembler

The mechanical assembler position requires paying high attention to detail to perform the final assembly of Ventrac products by following established assembly procedures and detailed work instructions.


Responsibilities:
  • Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts
  • Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
  • Conduct quality control checks: inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to specifications
  • Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies

Welding Robot Operator

JOB: Welding Robot Operator

3rd shift position, M-Th 6:30pm-5am. Operate both robotic and hand welders, wire-fed MIG / Pulse welders.


Responsibilities:
  • Operate a welding robot and/or perform hand welding to produce accurate weldments/assemblies

Painter

This position involves working as a team in a fast paced environment to ensure quality powder coated parts. This person will hang metal product on an automated paint line and then inspect and pack parts at the conclusion of the process.


Responsibilities:
  • Hang metal product on overhead hooks in a specific way to ensure an even coat of paint will be distributed
  • Remove painted metal parts from overhead system, package to prevent chips
  • Weekly maintenance of the department including vacuuming and wiping down equipment

Cad Administrator & Product Support Engineer

The CAD administrator oversees VPI’s Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) system and Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) system. The CAD administrator works closely with the engineering teams for development of products and processes.

Electrical Engineer

JOB: Electrical Engineer

This position acts as the electrical project leader on programs or portions of programs that are of major concern to the division. Assists management with the planning and approval phases of the program and assumes responsibility for executing the project plan. Ensures product performance, reliability, durability, costs, and timing meeting the project plan.


Responsibilities:
  • Works with electrical and other design team members to finalize designs and implement into production. Develops specifications with vendors, and helps assure that the vendors meet the requirements of the design.
  • Creates a design, which satisfies the product requirements as outlined in the product specification.
  • Designs, constructs, and tests working prototypes of electrical products or systems which meet the requirement of the product specification.
  • Designs to applicable regulatory standards i.e., C.S.A., U.L., or other applicable standards. Works with the agencies to provide certification within project time line.
  • Performs engineering analysis to predict the behavior and failure modes of the proposed designs. Analysis tools may include closed form solutions or electronic simulation programs.
  • Develops project design plans including budgets and schedules. Executes to plan developed and assists in the control of the project.
  • Consults with other project design engineers, marketing, research engineers, designers and others on proposed product designs. May be responsible for the work direction of designers, drafters, contract/consulting personnel, and others.
  • Assures that designs meet the requirements of the customer as defined by safety and any applicable industry or VPI standard.
  • Coordinates work with and product development team members such as but not exclusively: Shop, Test, Drafting, CAE, Quality, Marketing, Purchasing, Plants, Advance Manufacturing, Sales, Technical Publications, Administration, and management.
  • Responsible for drawing package, bill of material, and product specification. Responsible for the building of prototypes.
  • Works with test engineer and technicians to develop tests, which simulate the requirements of the customer. Evaluates test data and develops design revisions to solve problems. Works with Manufacturing, Test, and Quality Control to insure proper testing of components or assemblies on the assembly line where necessary.
  • Keeps abreast of new technological developments, components, concepts, materials, manufacturing processes, or the competitive environment, which would effect the design, design process, or Ventrac products.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Applies the "Total Quality" principals in the daily performance of the job.
  • Provides current product support to areas such as but not exclusively: Legal, Test, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • A team player that can work in a safe, productive, and professional manner

Technical Service Representative

JOB: Technical Service Representative

Position Summary: 2 major functions - technical customer service and warranty claim support.

Technical Customer Service: Provide advanced product support, troubleshooting help and repair advice to dealer & distributor technicians. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding technical customer service and problem-solving skills. It is essential that this person enjoys speaking to people and is comfortable interacting with customers via phone, email and in-person on equipment failures, product complaints and warranty concerns.

Warranty Claim Support: Oversee the WRTV process (Warranty Return to Vendor). Receive and evaluate warranty return parts, find probable cause of failure, return failed parts to supplier for failure analysis, collaborate with purchasing to address supplier part concerns, recommend improvements where needed, process warranty claims.


Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate positive and helpful relationships with our dealers & distributors.
  • Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting help and repair advice to dealer technicians.
  • Listen to, give direction and find acceptable solutions for upset and disgruntled customers.
  • Evaluate failures, determine warranty, find probable causes and decide if further action is required.
  • Log pertinent call information for tracking and future reporting purposes.
  • Oversee the WRTV process and assist in warranty claims processing.
  • Address product concerns or failure trends with the Department Supervisor and other departments as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed (in house or at dealer locations)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years mechanical experience working on commercial turf or related equipment
  • 2+ years experience working in Technical Customer Service in the Equipment Industry
  • Must have advanced understanding and experience troubleshooting, repairing and diagnosing problems on hydraulic systems, 12-volt electrical systems, mechanical systems and gasoline & diesel engines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in detail and troubleshoot effectively through email using pictures, diagrams and written explanation.
  • Enjoys speaking and interacting with people at a high technical level.
  • Ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively with unhappy customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills professional, courteous, friendly and helpful
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, accept feedback and make necessary changes
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet)
  • Self-motivated with excellent project, time management and organization skills
  • Physically able to safely operate, work on and repair Ventrac equipment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of certified training in Ag/Diesel or Sports/Commercial Turf equipment repairs
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing small gasoline and diesel engines
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems and 12-volt electrical systems
  • Previous work experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing Ventrac equipment.
  • Formal Customer Service Training
