Production Position Openings
Venture Products, Inc. (VENTRAC) is accepting applications for full-time positions on 1st shift in the ASSEMBLY and PAINT departments as well as 2nd shift in the FABRICATION and WELDING departments.

Ideal candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast pace, highly flexible, team environment. Excellent attendance record is a must.

Welding applicants must have 2+ yrs welding experience in MIG/pulse. Operators will be trained to program, set up and run robots.

Weld Assistant

DATE: February 4, 2019
JOB: Weld Assistant

Perform cleaning operations (scratch, scale & weld spatter removal, etc.) on parts post-weld. 1st Shift.


Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, tend grinding process using related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces of welded parts, sharp edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal.
  • Lift and position workpieces, manually or with hoists, and secure them tables for the cleaning process.
  • Making sure the grinder is working properly.
  • Operate tools safely wearing all necessary personal protection gear.
  • Identifying bad welds and fixing the welds
  • Open to learning the welding trade and weld techniques in the hand welding and robot operation.
  • To participate in weld training program as set up for Weld Assistants.
  • The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Responsible for the quality of the metal finish before it is received in Paint.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Desire to become a welder.
  • Minimum high school diploma, GED or relevant experience
  • Safety conscious individual
  • Must have good coordination and dexterity to lift and position work pieces to clean
  • Must be able to inspect their own work confirming that a quality product is made.
  • Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints, and is able to effectively prioritize tasks when multiple due dates exist.
  • Ability to interact and understand electronic time keeping
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) Protective outer garments (gloves, boots, earplugs, glasses, face shields etc.)
  • Bending, squatting, walking or standing for long periods of time may occur.
  • Must be able to lift at least 80/lbs.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule and overtime hours.

Painter

This position involves working as a team to hang metal product, apply an even coat of power coating paint to each piece without flaws, inspect and pack parts at the conclusion of the process.


Responsibilities:
  • Applicants must have mechanical ability to make minor repairs, adjust equipment, clean out paint booth and paint equipment, etc.
  • Candidates must also be able to collaborate effectively with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives.

Maintenance Technician

JOB: Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely performing a wide variety of semi-skilled maintenance, inspection, service, and repair activities to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of VPI. This maintenance position will assist with facility and equipment projects, assist in ensuring timely and accurate service, including preventative and predictive maintenance and repair services.


Responsibilities:
  • Basic Design
  • o Ability to conceptualize, design and fabricate small parts for facilities, equipment, and maintenance.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment on various maintenance, manufacturing & facility projects to help meet the demands of our growing company.
  • Maintenance: Manufacturing, facility.
  • o Perform regular and preventive maintenance procedures for most production and support equipment. This could include (but is not limited to) lasers, robots, air compressors, power tools, fabrication, welding equipment, and HVAC.
  • o Documentation of all work completed to assure that equipment and maintenance meets established standards (e.g. VPI, OSHA, USDOT, etc. as relevant) using VPI systems (Excel, Intranet, SYSPRO).
  • o Troubleshoot and identify mechanical failures and problems, recommend corrective action and carry out necessary repairs in a timely manner to restore equipment to operation as required.
  • o Ability and understanding to assist with minor and major facility additions, restructures and improvements.
  • Facility: Assist with infrastructure installations, improvements, changes, etc.
  • Equipment: Installation and start up.
  • o Ability and understanding to perform small equipment installations with some supervision.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Maintain safe working habits and environments and follow all applicable safety standards and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/equivalent or applicable experience
  • Must have a valid Ohio drivers license and meet approval from VPIs insurance carrier to operate VPI fleet vehicles.
  • Good written and oral listening/communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual who understands the importance of time constraints & schedules. Must occasionally be available to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical failures.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical and operational information.
  • Able to read, understand and interpret prints, drawings and schematics.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Email, etc.
  • Fabrication & Welding skills with a working knowledge equipment such as Welder, Drill, Lathe, Shear, Press Break, etc.
  • Assembly skills with a good knowledge of using general hand tools.
  • Must be able to work off ladders, scissors lifts, etc, at ceiling and roof heights and operate forklifts in a safe and productive manner.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 80 lbs and have the ability to stand, squat and walk for long periods of time.
  • Have a basic understanding of industrial electrical systems for troubleshooting and repairs. Standard AC (110-480 volt), as well as 12 volt systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in preventative and repair maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Minimum of two years working in a preventative and repair maintenance program in an industrial or mechanical environment.
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Maintenance training certificates.

Technical Support Specialist

JOB: Technical Support Specialist

The primary function of this position is Technical Customer Service. The majority of time will be spent communicating and troubleshooting with dealer personnel via phone and email regarding equipment failures, product complaints and warranty concerns. This job involves a relationship-based approach to create positive interactions and build excellent rapport with our dealers. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding technical customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide technical support that exceeds customer expectations. It is essential that this Technical Support Specialist enjoys interacting with customers via phone, email and in person.


Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate positive relationships with our dealers, ensure communication and follow up are completed in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and give repair advice regarding equipment failures and concerns (includes hydraulic systems, 12-volt electrical systems, mechanical systems and gas & diesel engines).
  • Complaint resolution, listen to and find acceptable solutions for disgruntled dealers and customers.
  • Evaluate failures, determine warranty, find probable causes and decide if further action is required
  • Log pertinent call information for tracking and future reporting purposes
  • Address product concerns or failure trends with the Service Manager and other departments as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed (in house and at dealer locations)
  • Assist in processing warranty claims and warranty part returns.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years mechanical experience working on commercial turf or related equipment
  • 2+ years experience working in Technical Customer Service in the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in detail and troubleshoot effectively through email using pictures, diagrams and written explanation.
  • Enjoys speaking and interacting with people at a Technical level.
  • Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively with unhappy customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills professional, courteous, friendly and helpful
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, accept feedback and make necessary changes

  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems and 12-volt electrical systems
  • Previous work experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing Ventrac equipment
  • Formal Customer Service Training

Welding Robot Operator

DATE: March 18, 2019
JOB: Welding Robot Operator

2nd shift Welding Robot Operator.
This position requires a person to set up, operate, and/or tend welding machines or robots to produce weldments. They must pay HIGH attention to detail and work under limited supervision. They must efficiently perform hand welding and running of a robot welder. This job involves collaborating with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives.


Responsibilities:
  • Operate a welding robot and/or perform hand welding to produce accurate weldments/assemblies.
  • Read and understand schematics, drawings, and other work instructions.
  • Set up jobs by selecting appropriate jigs, fixtures, weld patterns, components, programs, tooling, etc. and using them correctly.
  • Use hand tools/machines/hoists, etc. to assemble parts for welding.
  • Load, position, & weld the raw materials (&/or machined parts) correctly in fixtures.
  • Operate/tend the welding machine(s)/robot(s), including monitoring of gauges, the appearance of the weld stitches, the sound of the welding machine, & other feedback mechanisms - & tuning them to optimize the welding process for quality & efficiency.
  • Conduct quality control checks on your work by inspecting, operating, and testing your finished products/processes to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to required specifications, and make any needed adjustments or repairs immediately.
  • Perform cleaning operations (scale & BB removal, etc.) on parts post-weld.
  • Perform other supporting processes, such as basic routine maintenance, clocking in/out of jobs electronically so that parts can be tracked, and helping control costs by operating effectively & efficiently.
  • Have basic working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Produce quality product in a team environment to meet department goals and objectives

  • Must be able to pass the Welding test
