Last year we took the 45RC out to a steep, uneven hill to explore one of the questions we hear most: wheels or tracks. People often ask why the 45RC doesn’t have tracks and whether it could, so we wanted to show the answer in real-world conditions.

We brought a comparable track machine along to see how each handled the slopes, dips, and undulations. The 45RC stayed smooth and steady, contouring the hill while keeping consistent ground pressure. The track machine offered traction, but it can be harder on the turf and takes more maintenance.

Hills like this show why wheels, especially with duals and chains, work so well on the 45RC. They provide versatility, easier upkeep, and excellent performance on steep or uneven terrain.
