Heavy Equipment Operator Reacts to Ventrac Wide Area Mower

Duration: 1:59 - Views: 7957

An honest reaction to Ventrac's new Wide Area Mower! https://www.ventrac.com/ Randy is a heavy equipment operator for Hendry County, Florida and has been extensively testing the Wide Area Mower before it has been released to the public. He appreciates the time efficiency factor the Wide Area Mower offers him in his job.He says it feels as though it’s not taking a long time to mow, and it is nice to feel like you’re covering a lot of ground quicker than with other equipment. The 95-inch mowing deck is designed with a rear-discharge, making it an excellent choice for mowing in public areas where mower debris is a concern.Randy says mowing on slopes with the Ventrac Wide Area Mower is absolutely wonderful. The mower deck features 3 anti-scalp rollers and a full width striping roller for a clean, finished cut. The wide and low center of gravity the tractor and deck offer makes him feel safe. The time it takes to maintain a mower deck is a big concern for Randy. Equipment should be low maintenance and easy to handle to also keep labor costs low, and this is another thing that he really loves about the WAM. The mower deck offers a smooth shell design for minimal material build up and it’s very easy with the flip-up design to be able to wash it and service it at the end of the day.All in all, Randy’s first impression of the Wide Area Mower has been great. He’s able to drastically reduce mowing times and its ease of use has made this 95-inch wide mower his favorite attachment. PerfectSo what's your name and what's your position? Names Randy Smith, I'm a heavy equipment operator here at Henry County. So can you describe this wide area deck? Tell me about it. It's wide. It's wide. in a nutshell it's wide and it'll cut every bit of it. As an operator you feel like it's not taking forever you feel like all right that's two passes oh I'm already you know 16 feet into it.That's nice. The time it just just goes you don't even realize how much you're getting mowed until the end of the day when you really just like man I got this far and we normally only get that far so the time is definitely it definitely, it cuts back.As far as the slope goes the mowing on the slopes with the wide low center of gravity really makes you feel safe. It's absolutely wonderful. The maintenance is the main thing that I love about it. Ten minutes and you're done. It's very easy with the tilt deck hold it to be able to service it wash it at the end of the day. There's really nothing I don't like about it. It cuts my time in half. My favorite attachment out of all of them and that's all there is to it. Yea that's the first interview I've ever done in my life so please tell me if I'm doing right or wrong.
