https://www.ventrac.com/ Johnny Strain and his wife were looking for a tractor to groom the pastures around their home in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. They live on 40 acres and maintain 24 acres of sloped and hilly pastures. While there were many tractors available for purchase, there was only one tractor that was well-suited for this job.As a retired colonel in the US Army Special Forces, Johnny has had a lot of life experiences, many of which were in uncomfortable and unfamiliar situations. Operating on some of the hillsides on Johnny’s property left him feeling uncomfortable at first, but as he began to feel secure on the Ventrac, he gained confidence and enjoyment in reclaiming his land. Now Johnny goes places with his Ventrac that he wouldn’t walk himself.He has been able to reclaim parts of his property he previously never could, and the land surrounding him is impeccably groomed because of this. The grass is healthier, and so are his animals because he is able to control the overgrowth and keep his pasture land maintained.The benefits of front-mounted attachments on the Ventrac have helped Johnny clear brush under trees and maneuver where he could never go with a rear-mounted brush hog.
