Tilling A Garden With Ease - The Ventrac Tiller - Simple Start

Duration: 2:49 - Views: 20477

https://www.ventrac.com/ The Ventrac KL480 Tiller is a power-driven front-end attachment that allows the operator to easily monitor performance with its out-front design while preparing yard and garden soil. The Ventrac Tiller offers extraordinary advantages over a walk-behind tiller, such as productivity, safety, and maneuverability. Whether you are establishing new garden areas or soil for other plant and landscape features, the Ventrac Tiller attachment is sure to be the most capable and easiest solution for the job. The KL480 Tiller creates deeper tillage and loose soil that is best for planting vegetable crops or preparing flower beds. The KL480 attachment by Ventrac is different than most because it goes on the front of the machine, connected by the front hitch arms, which makes it visible for smooth operation and precision. The Tiller can be attached in less than a minute and comes with a stand for storing when not in use.The Tiller excels at maneuverability because the tractor is articulated, allowing the operator to get into tighter areas that might otherwise only be accessible with a walk-behind tiller. Walk-behind units are much slower and dangerous while sitting on the Ventrac proves to be less labor-intensive and much more productive. With a working width of 48 inches and a maximum working depth of 6 inches below grade, the 24 individually replaceable hardened steel tines are sequentially spaced to provide smooth and efficient tillage. Skid shoe adjustments facilitate the cutting depth of the implement and allow for consistent results.Products featured in this video:VENTRAC 4500: https://www.ventrac.com/products/tractors/4500 KL480 TILLER: https://www.ventrac.com/products/attachments/kl480 For more information, visit https://www.ventrac.com/ Find a dealer near you! https://www.ventrac.com/dealers Get a FREE catalog! https://www.ventrac.com/contact/catalog Subscribe here! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0aiC7V2JS3nh11R5tRuIUw Connect with Us!Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ventrac/ Instagram - @ventrac_tractorsTwitter - @ventracI'm Aaron Graber with ventrac and in this video we'll go over the tiller. The tiller is really designed for preparing garden areas or prepping soil for other planted landscape features. So when you're talking about the tiller it's gonna be kept mostly to deeper tillage where you're trying to have loose soil where you plant something into. Especially food vegetable crops. Or in flower beds. Something that needs a looser soil to start. When it comes to the ventrac tiller the advantages are productivity safety and maneuverability. Since the tractor is articulated you can get into tighter areas that you might otherwise only be able to access with a walk-behind tiller. And obviously that's going to be much slower and much more dangerous than sitting on the seat of the ventrac This tiller has a working with of 48 inches and a maximum working depth of 6 inches below grade. It has 24 individually replaceable hardened steel tines. Our tiller is a little bit different than most tillers because it goes on the front of the machine. It connects to the front hitch arms of the tractor and is run off the belt driven PTO. There is one trick for attaching and detaching the tiller. The simplest way to think about it is the kickstand that's on the back needs to be up when the tiller is on the tractor and in operation. And down when the tiller is on the ground off of the tractor. So to run this tiller you'll be driving in reverse. You'll want to run this tiller in the float position with the SDLA lever. And also with weight transfer completely off. Once you turn the PTO on the tines will start moving. At that point you can run the RPMs up to maximum rpms and the faster you run the tractor the faster the tines will move. There's only one adjustment that you might make and that's the depth adjustment. You can change that by changing the height of the skid shoes on the left and right of the tiller. As another reminder when you're done using the ventrac tiller just like most of our attachments it'll come off the tractor in just a few seconds and you can be on to the next attachment under a minute.
