Steeps hills with overgrown brush are no match for the Ventrac Tough Cut. Capable of tackling saplings and large thorn bushes, the large baffled front opening of Ventrac’s Tough Cut Brush Mower helps direct materials into the deck and hinders debris from escaping.

With counter rotating dual-sided blades that spin in opposite directions there is a better discharge of material from the heavy-duty welded deck. Built to handle the toughest cutting conditions, the Tough Cut blades are sharp on both sides so they can be used on both right or left-hand spindles, allowing for double blade life.

A unique feature to Ventrac, all decks are driven by a belt, not a PTO shaft. If the mower blade should get stuck on an obstacle, the PTO belt will slip rather than having a PTO shaft shear pin break.

Cutting a path is a clear advantage of the Tough Cut deck being out in front of the operator. This means the attachment does the work first and the tractor drives over a clear path rather than trampling down grass before cutting. This design feature allows for more consistent results and reduces uneven mowing.

All-wheel drive and full-time hydrostatic drive delivers maximum performance and traction on steep hills and slopes. Downhill braking is possible with quick hydrostatic braking, allowing the operator to slow down, stop and even reverse on hills.

Confidence can be found on slopes with the Ventrac tractors wide stance. For further increased stability on hillsides, wheel extensions can be added for up to 25-degree slopes or add dual wheels for even further capability on 30-degree slopes. And full-time contact means when the tractor encounters uneven terrain, the frame will pivot in the center to maintain contact with the ground and provide a better weight distribution of the tractor.
